What are the properties of stainless steel plates?

1. Corrosion resistance: Stainless steel plates have corrosion resistance. Mainly used for high temperature applications, which require materials with strong resistance to sensitization to prevent intergranular corrosion at lower temperatures.

2. High-temperature oxidation resistance: Stainless steel plates all have high-temperature oxidation resistance, but the oxidation rate will be affected by inherent factors such as the exposure environment and product form.

3. Conductivity: In most cases, stainless steel can keep the surface clean, so its heat conductivity is better than other metals with higher thermal conductivity.

Stainless steel plate applications are an essential raw material in the automotive industry. Their corrosion resistance, tensile strength and aesthetic properties are used in the manufacture of components such as springs, hose clamps and exhaust systems. Excellent weldability and formability have been widely used in light vehicles.

The stainless steel plate market is divided into four important grades based on alloy composition, including 200 series, 300 series, 400 series and duplex series. Grade 304 is widely used due to its special welding and forming properties for the manufacture of equipment such as containers, sterilizers, milking machines, homogenizers, storage and towing tanks, as well as railway carriages, milk trucks, valves, pipes, fermentation jars and yeast jars.
